About Tilly

Bristol based Knit Designer Tilly Goldsmith, manufactures all of her products using traditional hand powered techniques, taking inspiration from natural forms. She began her love for knitwear design whilst studying her Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors degree at Bath Spa University. Through university, Tilly experimented with a range of techniques and various knitting machines to create three dimensional textures.

One project titled ‘Caterpillar Casing’ in which Tilly excelled in featured, sustainable knitted bubblewrap as a reusable alternative, inspired by the caterpillars lifecycle and colour pallet. The Caterpillar Casing project was awarded The Company Award bursary from The Framework Knitter Guild. The award money enabled Tilly to invest in a domestic knitting machine, to start creating her own products. Graduating from University in 2023, Tilly continues to create new and exciting designs from her home studio.
